Who is Out-Of-Warranty?

As we have a "who has the least miles" thread, I thought I would start Out-of-Warranty thread. Hopefully, this would be a short thread.

Who is out of warranty? Why OOW? Mileage? Modifications?

What warranty work was denied by Nissan (for example, someone was denied slave-cylinder warranty work because of aftermarket cats)?

If you could share, others could benefit?

Thanks.

I am sure part of my warranty is voided.
Reason: Supercharger

I'll take the OOW status if you can give me an SC. :)

Owned.

But you are Owning others to your delight!

No 370z owner should be out of warranty yet until the end of 2012. The only people that would be are those who drove more than 36,000 miles or installed non-Nissan approved mods that got their warranty voided.

Your whole powertrain is voided. That is what the dealer told me.

And let the dealer BS them. Have no clue of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act Law and don't contact Nissan North America to get the correct answer or work done properly under warranty.

op-ure still under warranty for parts not related to the mods .

Wow, 45K miles.

I think we need a highest mileage thread.

Are you positive, sure on your life powertrain warranty? Read the fine prints! ;)

And...How much you paid for that lifetime warranty?

Ricochet48 10-21-2010 08:45 PM

damn at 45k! I'm only at 23k with my 06 RSX-S. Waiting to see if the FT86 is decent before pulling the trigger on a new Z

Actally 02/12 for those of us who purchased at release. I only have 7500 miles but 36 months is coming fast...

cab83_750 10-22-2010 11:35 AM

Hmmmm....I just 22K. Time to study the warranty section of my book. I always thought that the engine/tranny were part of the 60K range.:icon14::icon14:

travisjb 10-23-2010 10:17 PM

i have voluntarily opted out of warranty... can't imagine walking into a dealer trying to get something fixed under warranty at this point! lol
