It's good, it means your engine is working correctly, and isn't just some gnome in the engine bay going "brrrrrbrbrbrrrrrrrrrr-ING DING DING DING brrrrrbrbrrrrrrrrr".

won't damage anything mechanical. the paint can withstand it too. unless you touch it. then it'll freak out and chip and do all sorts of crazy ****.

tl;dr - duh.

:)

Perfectly normal, and no damage to the paint will occur.

My hood makes a loud 'thunk' when I close it. Normal?

I love these threads!

There's a funny smell coming from my exhaust. Whenever I go closer to take a deeper breath, I feel like its doing damage to my lungs. Is this normal?

OP the paint is not the best, but it can withstand those temperatures. The Sun will do more damage than any engine heat. Thats one of the reasons you should use a quality wax.

Something is always hot, whether it be the brakes, the engine, the hood, the clutch(from diving in flip-flops to he store) or brake fluid, oil, the car is just so hot and sexy it cant contain itself, it has to let a little off here and there. Hence why the people that leave VDC on for a longer time wonder what will happen when you shut it off. it turns into a rocket because it is so hot!

:happydance:

Haven't had that happen yet. But i don't even think the nissian paint job is that crappy. Plus there are times when the paint takes a bad rap
