you're absolutely right, why drop you off at the store and have you wait there for a couple of minutes. its cool how you thought of his pov that it would suck for him to walk alone. |

Secrets- 1) Nice wash and weekly coat of wax or touch-up spray 2) Park far away uphill 3) Back-up in parking spot next to a curb 4) Park slightly in a slant if no other alternative is available 5) Park at home in the Garage 6) Just say "NO" to Parking Garage's Next plan: buyin an old Integra, CRX, Civic to use as my daily driver to and from work and using it as my grocery beater getter. |

This is a funny, yet sensitive topic.
My husband only gets to drive my car on the weekends when we go out shopping. We went out last weekend (first time the new Z went to the Mall) and I told him to park all the way in the back where no one was. He said "Nope, only azzholes do that.... blah blah" So after a quick argument on my part, he parked near cars but 4 spaces away. I told him if I EVER get a door ding becuz of him, we're in for serious trouble I came out of the Mall and no one was around. So he's safe in that aspect. It just angers me that he would say that someone with a nice car should be subjected to door dings and such just like a hooptie. He'll learn is lesson when something does actually happen, but he already understands this but he takes his chances anyways Oh..and I have no dings on my Z after owning it for 12 days |

my wife and i both take pride in our cars. she's learned to get an end parking spot and parking just a lil bith further to the end to give enough room for the car on the other side.... and at her parking garage for work, she drives up an extra floor where there aren't that many cars, and still parks at the end.....
as for my car... at work, i park in between two company trucks that rarely ever move, and the reason i park next to two trucks, (cause i'm sure most people wouldn't do that) is because they're company trucks and i can track who drove what truck number and the company would have no problem getting it fixed....as opposed to someone's personal car, they might not notice they ding you, or just don't care and drive off.... and i always park far away at stores, the wife would sigh sometimes but she understands... |

Taking up 2 spots far from the masses is essential. I wish it weren't. But you can't trust people to respect your car when they don't respect their own.
And don't even get me started on those who cannot anticipate the force or direction of wind as they open their door.

I do not take the car to Walmart, Lowe's, etc. that is what the truck "huptie" is for. Watch where you park if you go to a meet, friends house, etc. Some people are lazy, WALK is good for your health. If you don't take care of your car, nobody will! And of course the car is for me and the SUV for the family!

No dings or scratches on my '0-9 either. I park only on "end spots" or a distance away and get the exercise. However, I've had had car sales guys insist that the modest price premium you get in sale price or trade-in price for by "a no-ding no-scratch car" isn't worth all the time effort and expense required to keep a car at that level. Normal wear and tear is expected by used car buyers and the body shops at trade in can easily repair the small stuff.
That being said, I still like the proud feeling you enjoy when your car is as perfect as you can keep it. |

Forgot to mention the mileage is just under 10K for me. I got the car beginning of June this year. Hate to have racked up so many miles in such a short time but it's a long way commute to work and back!
