I have had a used 300 twin turbo and was blessed to be able to purchase a new 09 red 370 which I love. I'm have worked hard to get it and wish I could do many of the mods that I seen some of the member here are doing but right now I do what I can do... I try very hard to take good care of it...
My question is how are people on the street reacting to the car. I notice that some people seem to be bothered by the car. I mean I'm driving on the interstate and I may pass a mini van. The next thing I know...they are going by me. The same in regular traffic...its like they are saying, "I bet that guy thinks he is all that in that 370Z..how dare he pass me!":shakes head: It seems to happen alot. And I have not even said anything about the kids who always want to race.... I have read that many people say they get a lot of positive attention and looks. I get some but I the other as well.... There are not many 370Z in my area....
Are you getting those kind of reactions on the road?:ugh2:

When people pass me back I kinda think that they just want to take a second look. Not alot around my area too. There cool looking cars for the matter and im always up for the kids wanting to race!!

Lacking a 370 of my own I can only tell you guys what I thought when I saw my first Nismo. My jaw literally dropped. It was probably the first 370z I had seen up close. It was sitting all pretty in a parking garage and I stood there drooling for a few minutes. The car is stunning in person and I had to walk around it for a bit. It's really what brought me here and what made me decide to get a Z.. eventually. :)

I see the same thing here and you're right, the red color accentuates the reaction. I had some goofball in an old escort, yes escort, with a welded on hood scoop try to do me at a stoplight. He looked over, I smiled and watched him pull away, a thick cloud of smoke pouring out of his exhaust. I slowed down to avoid having unburnt oil from his exhaust getting on my paint. I'm sure he felt great about smoking out a Z!!

Maybe tint your windows pretty dark. It may be worth the money for all the enjoyment you will get out of it.

I'm 59...

I have tinted my windows but when the girls roll down their window to talk, I figure it's only good manners to reciprocate. And, besides, I ride with the windows down most of the time anyway (so I can hear that sweet Fast Intentions sound).

:ughdance:

Now, when they ask you, are you in your Z or are you just bragging in general? You can tell us the truth. We are big boys. If you are on one of your Hogs or in your vet, it's ok. But when you are in your Z, do you notice anything different? Anything?

So you are saying that being married to a "girl" that is fifteen years younger than you is sortof like being single? I can truly see your logic. Man, fifteen years for me would be a 22 yr old girl. Um, yeah, I would be running around as much as a single guy, that's for sure. I don't think I could keep up for long. :)

She (and our daughter) keep me young. Tired, but young. Of course, I've always (it seems) remained young at heart in thoughts/ideas, etc., it's just that thing about not being able to party as long as I used to. :(

If someone jacks with me i will just leave em guessing. which makes them look like idiots.

the other day i was coming home on the interstste hardly any traffic and this
hillbilly, sorry he was, pulls up along beside me. i'm driving the speed limit 70
and he pulls up along beside me in his 89 ford f150 with straight pipes and revs up his engine and signals at me. it was all i could do to keep it together.

point being i think some people just won't to see what the car will do....
