Accounting teaches us that: Assets = Liabilities + Owners Equity or A=L+O.E.
A= Z or Mustang , L= chick , O.E.= cost of dating.
But if we plug and crank, we prove accounting doesn't work anyway.

Im in some serious a$$ debt then........

I attend a very large church, large enough to required a crew of parking lot guys that direct cars into the parking spaces so it is used efficiently and safely. Anyway, one of the guys told me that the consensus from the parking lot team is that the Z is the coolest car the see on Sunday.

Sounds like rationale for a designated parking spot!

Yeah, and the sign for the spot should read "Parking for God's Chariot ONLY".

Most of my tuner friends say that my car is ranked second in their book... Its usually right under their car of course...

6spd 10-14-2010 01:09 PM

I get a lot of compliments on the paint, pearl white. Sure it looks great, but if only they knew....

wheee! 10-14-2010 01:31 PM

I seem to notice that people not only jockey for lane position to get close to RoZy, they are taking pictures! I am not kidding! I had at least three people in one day snap our picture while we were cruising. Lots of people also take pics of my custom plate, IMFASTR too...
Middle aged men and MILFS like this car the most. Kids just drool knowing they can't afford.... :twocents:

KillerBee370 10-14-2010 02:47 PM

Yesterday. A guy pulled up and parked right next to my Z in a Lamborghini Gallardo. I said I liked his car and he returned the compliment.

kenchan 10-14-2010 03:19 PM

so he saw his car in your window reflection? :icon14:

I was driving by a Starbucks near my house and there was a table full of about 8 traffic cops on the patio. One of them must have said something because they all turned to watch me drive by. I drove well under the speed limit. None of them were black.

LuckyJinx 10-14-2010 04:26 PM

Everyone likes the z if not, they're lying and will be dammed for all eternity. Exceptions to few people, like Chuck Norris. His left and right legs are about 300whp each.

Jordo! 10-14-2010 05:09 PM

The FedEx guy digs the car :icon17:

My girl likes it.

Dudes who drive older Z's like it.

Guys in 350's kind of sneer at it... hmm.

This may seem like a strange thread, but I've noticed a very particular demographic that likes/compliments my car. Please note that in NO WAY is this meant to be racist...it's merely a description of my interactions of late. Random experiences have shown that middle-age African American men absolutely love the 370Z. I occasionally get a middle-age woman who says it's cool or that she wants one eventually. Kids randomly comment as well. But by and large, African American men stop me at gas stations, walk up while I'm stopped at traffic lights, or gesture for a window roll down all the time. Not sure how to explain it, but I certainly agree with them. I love this car too

I with you on Middle-age African American men who likes to comment on my car. I was driving home from work one day with the windows down and all of a sudden this van drive up and yelled "BOY!" or something like that. He literally stuck his head out the the van and kept commenting on my car and repeatedly saying "boy." He even looked at his wife telling her that the car was a 370z. I didn't say anything and just drove along lol.

Today when I was at comcast returning their modems I got a death stare from a black guy as I was leaving. It was pretty funny. He walked and literally turned his head back just to look at the car.

CWofRR 10-14-2010 11:40 PM

Yeah thats happened to me too lol. But at the same time a lot of older white folks give me compliments, especially ones that drive older z models. But for some reason all the kids my age rocking 350s always flex or mug me lol. High school kids dig it though, drove by an in n out on prom night and you could hear them yell "omg its a 370" haha.

Nitex 10-14-2010 11:45 PM

Seems i was receiving more compliments on the car before the mods started. Now it seems people shy away. Almost like they expect an Asian gangster to jump out and attack them with shuriken!

I'm half Japanese and retain the right to make fun of my peoples on both sides :icon17:

Actually, I was recently heckled by an SUV full of young women on the way out to the bars. Pulled up to the gas pump, they started making comments like "hot car". I was slow to respond and they did not appreciate it. Comments about compensating soon followed hahah...

cossie1600 10-14-2010 11:47 PM

boy you guys love to stroke yourself

Nitex 10-14-2010 11:49 PM

^ Nope... just a Z. Nothing special to anyone but me, and fellow enthusiasts..

booboo1343 10-15-2010 01:16 AM

I am an African American male and I own the 370z 40th Anniversary edition. I usually get stares from all people here in San Antonio. Occasionally I'll get a nice comment, but most of the time I just get hater stares. Its all good though. I had the same thing happen to me when I owned a Supra, M3, M5 and 350z.Here in San Antonio...there are some serious haters, but life goes on and I still love the ZZZZZ!!!!

Jose Aliling 10-15-2010 02:24 AM

for me my family, friends, relatives, co workers in short everyone!:happydance:

Slade 10-15-2010 10:21 AM

I'm black and live in a majority black/Hispanic town, I get a lot of stares and complements when I'm out with the Z. I always seem to get the thumbs up from middle aged black guys, followed by "What's the fastest you went in it?".

I once parked at Walmart far away from other vehicles and one guy in this huge truck pulled up next to me, waited until I got out of the car to ask if the color was factory. With the lines that it has the 370 is a natural head turner and I have the Monterey Blue, the only MB in town and one of approx. three 370Zs so it definitely gets a lot of attention.

kenchan 10-15-2010 10:25 AM

slade -that's awesome. i barely see any 370z's in my area too so i get a lot of attention when i pull her out. :p but im really not into getting attention.

funny though is i get more compliments on my G35C... it might be because most normal folks can relate more to a family oriented car (4 seater) rather than a 2 seater sports car.

doesn't help with the economy shot to hell, some people are still thinking "why would i get a sports car right now?"

cossie1600 10-15-2010 12:32 PM

Don't $hit out 20 kids when you are poor, that's what I tell them :)

I was once pulled over by 4 cops on foot coming out of a Starbucks. I was blocked in and had no where to go. Sergeant points to empty space and tells me to turn off my engine. :icon14:

stacy001 10-16-2010 04:06 PM

Since i live in a very small town outside of Las Vegas and I have the only 370z around. Everyone stops me and comments what a kick *** car the Z is... Love the attention!!!

Slade 10-16-2010 06:58 PM

My dad was driving my car earlier today and was pulled over by a cop. The cop just wanted to compliment the color and talk about the Z since he's a fellow 370 owner. He bought the 40th that I test drove last spring, another guy on the force has a PG one.

ResQguy 10-16-2010 07:22 PM

Dudes....always dudes. And NEVER from my BMW-owning friends. From them, I just get smirks and yawns. Although recently, I did have a guy in a GT2 pull up next to me and compliment the Z. That was kinda cool.

fullmonty 10-17-2010 12:25 PM

Middle aged men, and hot MILFs compliment my car. I did have some guy in a BMW chase me down in a parking lot to tell me he liked my car though. I've had more compliments from BMW owners than 350 owners actually

IS2000 10-19-2010 07:46 AM

Probably about everyone, because the Z is super rare from where I'm living. :D

I've been to Bangkok, and I don't know if I'd want to drive my Z in that traffic. :eekdance: Tuk-tuk drivers are nuts.

ZzzZz 10-19-2010 11:52 AM

People in SoCal initially stop and stare at the car. The stuck up people usually look up or away afterwards and remark "oh its just a 350Z" and the more grounded people smile and compliment.

wishihadnav 10-19-2010 12:15 PM

besides younger dudes nobody cares here in socal..haha

Yea, the traffic here is pretty bad but driving the Z here feels like a special occasion since Camrys and Accords are considered fancy cars here. :driving:
