Personalized coloring for Z's

Just throwing this out there. Wouldn't it be cool if the 370 or future Z's could be ordered in premier paint so you could have any custom color you please after you purchase the car? Of course the cost of the car would have to be cut. Or you could have it painted threw the dealer so you still have it financed. Just throwing out ideas. Be nice to see this in the future, maybe.

And I know someone is going to ask about painting the engine bay. On my 350 I had a silverstone colored car and the engine bay was not silverstone. It was more like solid light colored grey (about like premier) with gloss. So it wasn't the same but it went well with the rest of the car. So depending on a good universal color of the engine bay it good work well with a wide range of custom colors for us. So would do you guys think of this?

It would not be cost effective on a mainstream vehicle. While it would be cool, it won't happen on a $40,000 car.

Nissan has this ......

Nissan already offers this option in the 370z .

You can choose from :

Light Silver
Silver
Dark Silver
Light Graphite
Graphite
Dark Graphite
Light Pewter
Pewter
Dark Pewter

or any color palette from the silver, pewter, or graphite family.
I think there is about 35 different colors from this palette.

Just kidding of course ........

^ F@ck you! I come on here with an idea that could be considered, that i believe people would like. You could either support it or not. But at no time did you have to insult me for an idea. Everytime someone doesn't care for an idea they feel they need to belittle the other person. Either don't post or either suggest you don't believe it's a good idea. You come here to post video to basically call me a duma$$. I will remember your name and profile pic and I hope to see you at a show or meet.

lol... someone, quick, get the butthurt report..

Liquid_G 10-11-2010 09:58 AM

oh and were you trying to say the car would just come "primer" colored?

Let me rephrase my response. An OEM quality paint job can not be completed with a car fully assembled. The car would have to show up at the dealership in hundreds of pieces. The glass would all be removed, all lights and emblems removed, wheels removed or taped over, interior removed or all window and door openings taped over, and a ton of other things I can't even think of. Then after the car was painted this custom color of your choosing it would all have to be assembled. It just isn't possible. If you want custom colors for a car go talk to Porsche, Ferrari, or Lambo. I'm sure with the right amount of money they would be more than willing to paint your car any color you want.

I too shall remember your name and lack of a profile pic and also hope to meet you sometime soon. Good day sir. :tiphat:

Rephrase. You didn't even phrase in the first place. I understand the details, but wasn't looking at all that. Just a simple suggestion. You are right though. It would be to much trouble when you break it down. I won't deny that. But for me it was a cool suggestion for a QUICK THOUGHT.

But the point now from me to you was you were in the wrong for straight out trying to make me look like idiot without me even remotely disrespecting you ever. Then not to even withdrawl you rude a$$ video and aplogize shows what your about. So don't be a man.

As a matter of fact the video is down. I took it down ten minutes prior to your last post. But really don't take the internet too seriously. It's just not worth all the stress.

I don't. But people I do. Some where people have to take responsibility for there actions and words. And there are a bunch of bitches out there who act tough on the internet but normally won't state a single word to you in public or even stand up for thereselves when needed. They use the internet to act out and feel better about themselves by putting others down. When in the end they will always have there sorry pathetic lives.

I see that now. I do appreciate it. Just think about what you do or say and how people take things. The stress doesn't get to me. I can control that very well. I have to. Now I feel i need to remove this thread. I hate it came to all this. Can make me look bad. But I had to defend myself.
