I went from an 04 350 to 05 C6, now back to a 370.
I've never been on a racetrack, but still so far the 350 was more fun for me to drive..maybe I just need to get used to the size and handling of the Corvette

the Z will always be more fun to drive because the Vette has numb steering. Hoepfully Chevy fixes this for the next gen Vette. We used to have an 06 Vette and that was my only complaint about the car, the steering input was very bad. As for the handling of the Vette it is no where as good as the Z. I've done autocross with both my 370z and the C6 vette and Z just blows it away. The steering of the Z is much better and for tight corners the Z is just much better. Now on long sweeping turns that you would see on a road course or ....um.. fwy.... the Vette is very comfortable there.

I'll say this, the Vette does a lot of things better than the Z, but what the Z does better than the Vette makes up for it. Driving the Z just feels so much better. I still miss the explosive power of the Vette though. And if Nissan doesn't do something like FI for the next gen Z I'll be getting the next gen Vette.

They already fixed it. 2008.
Yeah, it could probably be fine-tuned some, but with the size of the tires they are running up front, I dunno how much. The Z runs a lot narrower tire up front, so of course it will feel like it gives more feedback. They did re-tune the steering, though.

The headrest base is down around the middle of the seatback, so if you lean back against the headrest you will feel the base push out and poke you in the middle of the back!

It can as it will try to push your body in a crash, but it takes little effort to actually move it and poke someone.

It's not the steering, it's the way the rear suspension is on the Corvette. You feel like you are in control of the 370, the Corvette can snap loose at any moment. The Z has quicker steering, but it doesn't hold the road much better than the Corvette. On the non Z06 C6, the suspension is way softer too.

Yeah, I know they revised the steering in 2008 but it's only marginally better. I'm hoping it will be Z-like for the next Gen Vette. Then again I also hope Nissan gives a 400+hp FI version soon too, which if thats the case it doesn't matter what the Vettes like.

If Nissan comes out with a forced induction Z any time soon, that will be my next car.
I've owned a 300ZX and a 350Z and so for the Corvette ranks behind both of those car in terms of the enjoyment I get from driving. The motor of the Vette is ridiculous, but the driving experience is less intimate. With the Z's I felt like part of the car.
Anway maybe the Corvette will grow on me.

Just don't lean your head back, as Mike said, or else you'll stab yourself in the back.
Not to hijack the thread but...I thought that was weird, too. Then I read somewhere (manual?) that it's not because it's cheap, it was designed that way for a reason...

[edit]

Read the rest of the thread and see now the same thing I had read (but forgot where...).

Yeah, I remember reading that it was designed to help you, but I don't remember how.

My opinion is "whatever". It doesn't bother me, and it was made that way, so I don't much care. It's not like it's a flaw.

Yeah, that was my thinking on it to. It's obvious it was like that for a reason so I was not worried about it.

I had a 2006 C6 and I got to drive Modshack's 2008 C6 several times and the steering was better in the 2008, but nothing close to the steering in my 350Z much less my 370Z.
