I loved the feel of my C6 seats, they fit me perfectly.

Rode in an Evo 8 when they first came out. Yeah, they were awesome when the girl was sliding it around corners, but like you said, I think they were impractical for long-term sitting. The Z's would work well enough sliding around corners, and I don't think I would feel too cramped on a road-trip. I find the Z's interior to be one of the most tasteful I have seen/set in at any price-point.

GTR has excellent seats, pretty comfy and they will hold you well in the twisties. Much better support than the 370z seats and light years beyond stock c6 seats. I think the recaros in the evo would be hell on anything more than a short drive.

The Z's seats have a good blend of bolstering and comfort, IMO. They aren't bad at all on a long drive. I drove 900 miles to St. Louis non-stop to pick up my Mustang and it was a comfortable ride.
Just don't lean your head back, as Mike said, or else you'll stab yourself in the back. ![]()

One of my considerations was a 06 vette with the Z51 pkg. at around the same price I payed for my Z, but I needed something different and I still have my 97 WS6 to drive around.

I believe that is the active head restraint system for rear end collisions.

If you don't go on the race track, get the C6 as it is a much better daily driver with almost everything better (room/fuel mileage/power). On the other hand, the Z is much easier to drive close to its limit than the Corvette at the track. With all that said, the C6 is still a faster car at 85%
I went from an 04 350 to 05 C6, now back to a 370. |
