which model ??
Which model is more worth the money the 370Z Sport or the Sport Touring ???
Is it easy to upgrade the stuff aftermarket ie. Stereo etc etc or is the 8000 more worth it?? |
Well it kind of sucks that Nissan makes you buy the Touring model, just to add certain options!
I went with the base/sport, because I can add the options I want later on, and I don't get stuck with the ones I don't want. |
Yea I'm starting to feel that way, beside the leather seats, bose stereo, navigation what are the biggest option differences between the two?
|
Touring model:
Bluetooth Homelink Universal Transceiver Auto-dimming review mirror Passengers seatback map pocket Rear Cargo cover Leather/suede seats Suede door inserts Heated Seats Power Seats Driver lumbar support Bose/6 CD changer MP3/WMA CD playback Eight speaker system Radio Data System XM Radio I added bolds to what I wanted out of touring. As you can tell it was one thing, and since I cannot get the navigation without touring I am going aftermarket it for all of it. Bluetooth comes on 90% of double bin navigation units, XM radio add on with upgraded stereo. You can buy the autolink mirror aftermarket or from Nissan parts if you want it, not sure if you need to get wiring for it also though. I would rather buy my own speakers and get something I know that is good. For me, BOSE = Buy Other Sound Equipment |
OK so you sold me I realllllllllly like the suede in the door/seats.. I will deal with the bose.....till I hear em crackle

All in all, it's not a bad price increase for all that stuff, but I wish nissan's build your nissan option was truly that, and allowed you to pick EXACTLY what you want.
With that being said, I'm sure a lot of people with deep pockets will buy the touring for the ease of ordering, and never look back. I wonder how much money Nissan will lose to aftermarket companies from customers upgrading their base model with the things that want? |
yea car companies except MINI, and Scion.. dont do that anymore there all about packages!
|
It's also because its the first year the car is available. I'm sure that future years will see more choices and much more customizability.
As of right now, you just have to ask yourself what you want. If you're going for just the fun and performance of a sports car, then forgo the touring package. It doesn't offer anything that'll enhance your driving experience, just riding experience. If you want all the fancy gadgets of a luxury sedan, then throw in the touring. If the only thing you want it leather seats, do it yourself. |
get it fully loaded. i didn't want to pay for the sports package because to me the 370z touring was good enough for me at the moment. but fully loaded with touring and sports package is probably the way to go if you want all the goodies.

Base w/SP is all you need...

This question can only be answered by you... As everyone has different views on costs and values etc.. But regarding stereo's? For the Z..Yes It would be very easy to upgrade with aftermarket systems and components. Esp with the Blose..Hell it's almost required that you upgrade asap. :icon17: |
