Good you are ok
FYI, I have been hit at least 6 times for the last 10 years (none my fault). Haven't had one that was my fault. I am insured up to my ying-yang, but I am pretty sure it is devastating to see one's personal car get messed up. |

Sorry to hear what happened, I'm glad to see your Ok. The Z is only a car, and will get fixed. The main thing is nobody was hurt. What happened the A$$hole who made you swerve?

If you want it to look like new, make sure they replace all the damaged parts.
NOT REPAIR, ANY collision damage that bad will never look the same. Good luck finding the right color!

If his tire caught on anything (which it probably did) then it could've easily caused that damage.

Funny thing is, the car I hit (Nissan Quest) Only needed a new headlight and a tire alignment... Other than that, there were only scuffs on the bumper. Quote:
I also needed new tires (16k miles currently) so I'm pretty sure that didn't help me out all that much either. Quote:
pretty much, the only witness just up and left. Quote:
Crazy thing, a single headlight cost over $1000, and our 40th anniversary seat covers? $1200. There's more, but that's what stood out right away. ================== Anyway, my repair is promised to me by the 20th. It's being repaired at Barber Ford Body Shop: Ventura, CA 93001 I didn't really have a good list of choices around here, so I went with the only big body shop near me.

There really is no "good" wheel to put a spare on with a RWD car... that really sucks. You either compromise steering grip (very important) or unbalance the rear which delivers power.
Did you catch the douchebag that was driving the lifted truck? Sounds like the stereotypical small-d*cked "truck guy." He's technically liable since his speeding caused you to lose control of your car. For you it was a choice of A) getting rear ended by a lifted truck or B) quickly changing lanes to get out of the way. Either choice, it was that a-hole's fault. edit: read your post above - that really sucks. Especially that the 1 witness didn't have the balls to stop and help.

Sorry, but no one "freshy oils" a road. Oil was only used back in the day on gravel roads to keep the dust down. I design/construct roads for a living and a new asphalt road will yield better traction then an older one. They may have crack sealed it but thats not oil either. Sorry to hear about your mishap with your Z. Spares suck.
