So imagine an AWD 370Z (sorry for anyone who clicked this thinking one exists!). It would be a few hundred pounds heavier, but would launch like a catapult. What do you think the 0-60 and 1/4mi times would be? Do you think it would beat the current 370Z around a track? Would you buy it over the RWD version?
The floor is open...

I feel like the lack of torque would negate a lot of the benefits of an AWD system unless you are running more power or are FI. I also think that the driving dynamics could veer away from the type of car the Z was designed to be both in weight and the fact that the front wheels would be driven.
If the AWD system is refined, it could be a great asset though and we could probably see mid 4 second 0-60 times.

If it existed I would have liked to have purchased, but I'm sure it would have only been available with the Auto (which is a no go for me) and I'm sure you would have had to get it with the tech package, the navi, the your mother package, the omg package, ya know how Nissan does it. Anyway 0-60 I'm gonna guess maybe 4.4-4.5 and the quarter probably around the same, since the added weight and drag and low torque.

Car & Driver tested the auto 370Z at 4.6 sec 0-60, I would think AWD would increase drive train loss and weight without improving traction enough for a benefit unless it came with a healthy power increase.

That is why I didn't get the Lexus IS, AWD and not enough power.

I would have bought one if there was a 370Z AWD 6MT. VQ AWDs only come in MTs. Imagine the handling on these. Then you can boost it up later. Down side is it's 50k MSRP.

Isn't here an awd g37? I don't think that is faster than the rwd g37.
