From what I've been told and understand that the drivetrain from a G37 AWD will be a direct bolt-in to the 370Z.
Downsides are the extra weight, having a automatic transmission, maybe extra noise, cost of conversion and the really big cost of a TT kit and support mods to take advantage of the AWD.

I'm sure someday, someone, somewhere will do it, just to be different. Personally, I'd rather just buy a used GTR and play that way.
