2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe 0-60 in 3.9 sec! Does anyone know what engine GM is
putting in it. It hasn't been that long when 0-60 in under 6 sec was the benchmark. i'll be more care with the next 4 door i mess with. just kidding safety
first.

racerxj17 09-30-2010 06:27 PM

yea, the cts-v, with the corvette ZR-1 engine it it......

spearfish25 09-30-2010 06:37 PM

Detuned ZR1 engine making 556hp

Red__Zed 09-30-2010 06:38 PM

Yep. It's a freaking impressive car.

kenchan 09-30-2010 06:46 PM

That will get you in trouble in 4 sec.

PapoZalsa 09-30-2010 06:57 PM

No surprise, it is an impresssive car even at the regular trim, nice for DD.

The CTS-V is a monster but too expensive.

I'm in love with the performance, but at odds with the styling - not the shape, but the chrome, and something else. The coupe is much more appealing than the sedan, but I guess that's usually the case.

Love the center mounted exhaust though - that works on that car.

sonic370 09-30-2010 07:24 PM

That's something i don't like about GM. To me it cheapness the corvette line.
I've owned vettes when you buy a corvette you want it to be different have something special.

whats next nissian sticking a 3.7 inside of a rouge

BeachZTT 09-30-2010 08:07 PM

Just a couple weeks ago, I had one sitting in front of me at the light on this long straight road my home is on (sort of heading out to the country.) I could see him looking in his rear view mirror at my Z behind him... the light turned green and I swear to god, he was gone before I ever had the chance to START to accelerate. And it was LOUD too! Crazy fast..and it was a Cadillac CTS-V (from what I researched!) I was floored. (meaning, I was..not my car. LOL!)

I'm not sure what my 0-60 time is now on the GL..but it seems right around 1.2 minutes. :D

Waiz 09-30-2010 08:36 PM

CTS-V is serious business.

JDMFairlady21 10-01-2010 10:06 AM

I guess I have a problem agreeing with this statement. I have never thought of the Vette as an exclusive car. Maybe the Z-0 series, but every other garage in my neighborhood houses one and you see them as often as Mustangs on the street. My Z is more unique than any of the Vettes will be.

It's not your fathers Cadillac, that's for sure. I am looking forward to meeting one in the twistys. As soon as the straight aways show up, its all over.
For the money I'd pony up a little more and grab the GTR, but I am predjudiced against the thought of, being old enough, to consider a caddy. It is nice to see GM competing with Germany, and the world.

m4a1mustang 10-01-2010 03:48 PM

These things are pretty wild. Didn't the last CTS-V set the fastest Ring time for a sedan?
