This is just to good to believe

They go fast, just don't try to auto-x one. We've had a few try but they usually go home with their head hung low after getting spanked by just about

Cannot get over the Coupe's styling, it's horrendous. Now the V Estate and Sedan are awesome.

GM has been putting detuned Corvette engines in Caddies and Camaros for years

I'm sure we'll see a VQ37VHR in a Murano one of these days

Nah, they just drop in the 5.0L V8 and call it an Infiniti FX50.

the cts-v? What model and year. The latest model has an impressive suspension package thats been over hauled from the previous year. The latest cts-v are in a whole new category of car.

4,300 Pounds. lol. For a road car, its beastly. You can't really compare this car to our Zs, corvette, or GTR. Now if you compare it to similar cars of class such as M5/M6 or C63 it really gives those cars a run for the money.

We've had everything from '05 to '10, doesn't matter they weigh 5 million pounds and the chassis cant respond to quick changes in direction. Around a track it wouldn't be bad as you can set the car in a direction and it will go (with crying tires).

I'm not sure where you live but around Michigan vettes are anything but something different and special, they are about as common as Mustangs and rarely ever turn a head in these parts.

And yeah vette engines in sedans isn't anything new for GM, the impala was the car that got it in the 90's.

Saw one today. Old dude (well, older than me) driving. I mean swerving.

+1 for impressed by the performance, but can't see myself in a "caddy". When I grew up, caddy meant "loaded buick". And "loaded buick" was just one click away from "herse".

I have a friend who drives a modified G35 sedan and test drove a CTS-V, fell in love with it. Is presently saving up for a used one.

Not really. The CTS-V is nothing like a corvette. That's like saying a Ford Lightning cheapens the Mustang line-up. Two totally different vehicles.

I agree that if sharing an engine family cheapens a car line then a lot of companies are screwed.
