I'd suggest driving all three and then making a decision. All are quick but each carries a different 'image' with it. I obviously have the 370 and went with a friend who looked at the STI and the Evo. The STI feels cheap inside and is very quick. The Evo has a nicer interior finish than the STI. Both have back seats which the Z does not. After driving and seeing all three, you'll know where you fall pretty quickly. Otherwise this thread will go on for 100 pages of people talking up one car or the other.

The Evo would have us for lunch, track or straight.
I can carry more stuff in the Subie. Test drove both in the real early shopping stages and quickly discarded them as choices, though I'd LOVE the Evo as a track/autox car. I wanted a DD with a bit more "curb appeal". So it moved up to a used German coupe/sports car or a new Z... ...I'm a sucker for the "new car smell", even if it's not the most sense financially.

I owned a very nicely modified Evo X for 2 years....
Had no heartache leaving her for the 370z.... Honestly I enjoy the driving experience of the Z much better!

For straights 370z would win, track EvoX should come out on top, don't know how it posted lower times on FastestLaps, there are a lot of 'magazine drivers' who don't know how to work the Evo MR's SST, including the Stig from top gear. Also, the 2008 ECU mapping for the Evo were severely detuned rich from the factory, I don't know what they were thinking, the 2010 map makes it a lot quicker, 4.8/9 0-60
You have to look at what you plan to do with your car, how much you want your power:mod ratio to be, you have to determine if you want a 2 seater vs a 5 seater, how the car feels to you, do you want turbo or N/A? Both the 370 and Evo are great cars. IMO, if you want to keep it stock, the 370z is a nice car. If you're going to mod I'd go with the Evo, I'd skip out on the WRX since I always hear about their engines blowing up.

Unless you are going to TT or SC your Z, the evo and sti has a lot more potential to make more power with little mods.

5 minutes in EcuFlash and I could make any stock Evo X kick a 370Z's ass on the highway, in a straight line, in auto x, or during a HPDE.
It's not a better car, no, but for pretty much free I can make one faster than a lot of cars. That potentially makes it a MUCH better tuner's car.
