Road noise

I know this should be in the tire section.Just wanted to vent. I expect some road noise it's part of the deal i can live with it. But i've only got about 8,000
on these Bridgestone tires and i swear they get louder everyday. I had hoped to get 20,000 out of them but i don't think i can go that long.

Tires do become louder as they wear.

Really? Wow, this is going to be a loud car then... I've only had my Nismo for a couple of weeks and have really noticed the road noise relative to my 95 300ZX. However the car is a blast to drive, so bring the road noise on, it just means I'm having fun!!!!

20K? 15K if you are lucky!

I got 18k out of mine. And yes, they do get a lot louder as they wear.

if you get more than 15K out of the tires, you're not driving right. :driving:

That sounds good. I just put in a new set of speakers should have done it then.
I'll go back and do the doors. What other areas did you do. And did you do one or two layers.

I did the back end first. That's what really reduced the noise. I did the doors last week and didn't really see much reduction in noise, but it changed the sound from the front speakers.
Just did one layer throughout. That was a big enough pain to get in. It's not really that hard, it's just tedious and I'm short, so I had to keep crawling in and out of the car to reach everywhere.

Just put the top down. It's not so bad then... :excited:

We'd need the Nissan can opener option for that.

About Dynamat, It seems to be a good solution. Which kit and size did you use in back end section? Thanks.

I bought the bulk kit 10455 from Amazon. It has 9 sheets which was enough for the back and the doors. I've actually still got a little left that I'm going to use to fill in holes.
