I was at my dealership a couple of weeks ago when a guy had his Z towed in
that had locked up on the highway. it had 7500 miles on it and had never even
changed the oil. it had 1 quart in it. 12 grand later he got his car back.

the dealership actually recommended I change the oil every 7500 miles max since it's synthetic. The engine shouldn't consume that much oil anyways. I changed every 3000 and check levels every other fill up and found very little consumption, even when I'm nearing an oil change. There was someone here with that problem a while back, maybe the same guy?

I can't believe there are this many people having oil level issues. Wether it'' burning too much oil or the level is low, I can't believe with all the technology they put in our cars that a pressure light or low oil level sensor was never added!?!?

I check my oil every so often and I defiantly don't wait 7,500 miles, but now I read sh$t like this and start checking it daily! HAHA! I can't even imagine how many people are having this problem that are not even associated with the forum to report it. I hope people read these finding s and check there oil before it's too late!

Good luck to all

Checking the floor won't do a whole lot of good with the plastic undercarriage. But at least pulling the dipstick and checking the oil level will do wonders for people! 5 minutes to check something or 5 months waiting to get a new engine, not a very hard choice IMO
