Voiding Warranty?

Hey Guys,

Ok this may be a stupid question but I am interested in getting or eventually getting a CIA, HFC and CBE for my car. My question is, does anyone know if these will in fact void my warranty?

a CIA? Cold Intake Air? :p. and no it will only void the warranty on the part that you changed or if the part you changed caused something to break.

It won't void your warranty. Your dealer may give you grief about wattage repairs, and it may make it really tough to get things covered.

Mine were dealer installed, WIN!

Some dealer are a pain in the a$$ when it comes to aftermarket parts. I'm waiting to take my car for the free oil change with the Custom Air Intakes ans the F.I. Catback installled.

They have told me Hall Nissan are real pricks when it comes time to aftermarket parts!

However, just mention to them The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. A lot of service managers are clueless.

When I traded in my Z, the dealership saw I had aftermarket exhaust on it. They started flipping out, talking about "oh my God you voided the whole warranty". I got pretty rude back to them, obviously expecting more from a dealership than to spout out retarded information like that. I educated them in exactly what the modification meant to my warranty.
