Sterring clunk

I was pulling into my driveway tonight and turned the steering wheel almost completely to the left and as I was turning in I felt like a loud clunk like if I had hit something or fell in a hole. Has anyone ever heard this noise before?

mine does the same thing. i believe all of ours does the same thing (remembering another thread).

has to do with the turning radius and the tires. its like they bounce or the rubber stretches then pops back together or something from the extreme turning radius.

experienced the same thing. Not to worry. It also seems to have something to do with the limited slip diff. Mine only seems to be an issue if im turning tight under power. If im off throttle and making a tight turn, it doesnt seem to be a problem. Completely normal for our cars.

Lots of cars do it, no problem.

Never heard it in my Z, but I have heard it in my Pathfinder and other cars.

Old thread bump.

I now have it after swift springs, rear SPL camber arms and tractions arms. Forward or reverse with the wheel all the way turned, it's like the car falls an inch in a hole then back up then falls again when your tire reaches the same point again. When it falls its a loud clunk.

Yes after falling into a hole. Completely normal.
