Everyone is a "dickhead" at one point or another. Plus without "dickheads" the forum would be boring...:excited:

Just ordered this, can't wait to try it out. I had no idea this even existed till I randomly came across the pic in Zbrahs profile that popped up at the top of the screen lol

No. Because it has 2 settings that work from stock parameters. To feel the what increase it offers click to green then red while lightly accelerating. Green is totally fine with traction control off but red nearly suicidal. The wheels will spin for days jacking up your launch. Maybe not so much for A/T. It overrides traction control bu you can feel the car struggling to do what it thinks is the right thing. Be cautious but do enjoy yourself with your new addition.

So this thing will bypass VDC like I have it off at all times? I did not realize this that is good to know lol

It can't. All it does is compress the signal from the throttle. VDC will still have to be turned off manually.

Swindler 05-04-2017 03:49 PM

I installed it and drove around in all the settings. It feels good, I am happy with it for sure. It's in the mind right so it's less satisfying kinda. But I don't shift at any higher rpms then normal and yet it feels faster, it def feels like it pushes me back in the seat with quick acceleration vs trying it with sb off. It's weird but def feels way better

It feels like your accelerating faster. But your not. Even tho your shifting at the same rpm. I feel like you'd have to floor it to get the same response and then let off suddenly without sb for the same response. But even flooring it really I don't feel like it would throw u back in the seat the same as it does with sb

how many faking times does mr.jar need to explain da concept of da sprint booster?

bendchef 05-04-2017 08:13 PM

You are going faster. It's not in your mind. Get some kind of OBD phone device like torque or something of that nature and clock your times. When I said it would override the VDC it confuses the computer with the accelerated signal and so as you're chugging through it you can feel the traction control try to take over but it actually will push right through it. At lunch with the instant wide open throttle I can chirp the tires all the way through third with the traction control still on. It makes for a weird ride but I'm not sure if it combines the safety of your traction control with a little bit of the sprint booster. Just be careful if you turn off the traction with it in the red.

Not at all. Sprint booster themselves admit no increase in actual acceleration. It's all in the increased response. All of this was posted earlier in this thread. There's a link to their site with all of that on it as well as a white paper with what it actually does.

Yep. According to SprintBooster:

Quote:

How much horsepower gain can I expect from Sprint Booster?

Sprint Booster does not increase horsepower. Sprint Booster changes the throttle response in the low to mid rpm range where cars spend a majority of their time. As a result, your car feels peppier and more powerful.
(my emphasis)

Many people like the change in pedal response but it does nothing you can't do with your foot.
