I just can't get myself to accept a hybrid powertrain in the Z. The initial battery torque is there, but the combustion engine will probably be smaller than what's in there now.

The VQ38TT is an interesting option, converted to mass production and detuned somewhat.

I do expect direct gas injection to also appear here - I'm surprised Nissan hasn't offered it (except in the Infiniti M56 right now). It was my one reservation on getting the Z in 2010.

By the time this comes about, the warranty will be close to expiring, and I'll be looking to wrench in a couple of turbos.
