Sure, you could do it aftermarket for cheaper, but that's a different game. Besides SRM, I'd argue you could outdo the sport package for cheaper on a base model as well. But you don't see many people doing that, either.

I mean, it's all relative. A lot of the money will be money spent twice--you justify some of the cost of the sport package as the LSD, but that VLSD will be replaced by anyone doing anything serious with the car...
So the cost of the base + mods is much lower than the sport + mods. |

I agree that the nismo is not worth the extra cash compared to the sport package in regards to performance, but I got the nismo because I think it looks 10x better than the stock z and I wanted a more unique car that many people do not have. Most of us end up modding our cars anyway, so the performance will come with the mods. Just my opinion.

My apologies for bringing up a topic that has been beaten to death, but what is the Nismo supposed to be? Is it a track car or just a bodykit? I started this thread to show it's not a superior track car. As far as bodykits go there are way better options. Amuse rear and Mines front are my favorite. I plan on doing some sort of combination after I get TT'd. I do like the Nismo and even asked the dealer if he had any when I purchased my Z. Unless they would have given me a great deal I couldn't have seen my self doing it.
