Probably a stupid question, but I have not really found the answer on all of the Sticking Rear Hatch Release threads.
When the rear hatch button is pushed, is the rear hatch supposed to release and go all the way up to a full raised (open) position, or just release and require you to lift the rear hatch until it reaches the point that it goes up on its own? My rear hatch has never went to a full open position since I bought my 370Z, so I never really thought about the function of the rear hatch until I started reading the threads and saw the TSB. I just assumed that pushing the button was supposed to disengage the hatch, and you had to raise the hatch after it released. If it is supposed to release and go all of the way up, then I will take my car in to have it fixed. Thanks in advance for clarification! ![]() |
