$3000 to spend on a 2009 370z!!!
Ok, before I get too many eyebrows, the first $1200 need to go to new TIRES!!! What do you recommend!!!!!
What is the best bang for my buck for the remaining $1800??? Stillen stage 3 or injen intake?? What kind of Pre cats?? What are my other suggestions to generate best power for the $$$$$$$??? |
I forgot the OIL cooler!!! What type of oil cooler to be included??
Ok this is my priority list 1) TIRES 2) oil cooler 3) intake 4) best mod for $$$ after this !! |
Are you tracking your car? if not, take off oil cooler from the list. YOu can get a Nice exhaust and an intake system for $1800. If you don't get emission inspection in VA, then get intake and HFC. You'll still have $400 in your pocket! You can add that money to the catback exhaust fund!

new tires? how many miles on the car?
|
15k on the car. Plenty of miles left on the front. I had a 2004 350z and lasted 22k before the rear went.

Which intake should I get?? And which HFC to get???
|
I highly recommend Berk HFCs; I did a ton of research into the various high flow cats available and I believe that Berk offers some of the most experience in product development on the VQ37 engines. It bumps the volume up on the exhaust even with the rest of the system remaining stock, and the power increase is immediately noticeable. Other great choices include Fast Intentions HFCs, Stillen HFCs, and ERZ HFCs.
As for the intake choice; the two intakes that have consistently proven to be the top performers have been the Injen intake and the Stillen G3 Intake. I am personally installing my Stillen G3 intake tomorrow but you cannot go wrong with either. |

1) Buy some used HFCs from the forum. You'll save some cash and still get a good product.
2) Why buy an intake just to get 10hp above 7000rpm? I still haven't jumped on this bandwagon. 3) An exhaust would be the first thing I'd buy. Nice sound, nice gains. With some used HFCs, you've got a nice package. 4) Track or no track, I see the oil cooler being a necessity in any warm region. My car was running 230F during street driving without one, and that's ridiculous. 5) If you buy more reasonably priced tires, you'll be able to swing the above three mods. I just bought Ventus V12s for $900 for the full set. Haven't tried them yet but looking forward to it. |
High flow cats and an oil cooler. Also go ahead and give that Z what it needs, some Advan Neovas.

For tires, save some money and buy these, excellent OEM replacements (if not better)...I got all 4 for less than $800 with tax included...you may have to go to your local Firestone to find them:

if you are going to get new tires, why not get new wheels too?

IMO, $3000 to spend including 2 rear tires... I'd get
1: 2 rear Nitto Invo + shipping = probably around $470. 2: Stillen Gen 3 = approx $500 (Contact Josh@Stillen) 3: Berk HFC or Stillen HFC = Approx $500 (Look for deals in Sponsored Classified) 4: GTM Oil Cooler = Approx $400 (Look for deals in Sponsored Classified) $1100 left.. How about a CBE? |
