I take it you cannot delay putting the car into the next gear or it goes crazy. I've got it (almost) handled on the upshift, which was never calling for a delay, but can't get the hang yet of the downshift. RE: SRM. Leaving the dealership I too remember trying to sync the engine only to have the SRM do the same thing. You will get the hang of it so do not worry. If you really can not stand it, push and hold the button right and above stick shift for about one second to turn it off. You know that it is off when the S that looks like a five, next to digital gear read out, goes out. I remember thinking, again leaving dealership with my new car, I bought a six speed but the salesman must have sold me a five speed because of that S that looks like a five.

Yep, I'm going to have to practice. Whoa is me -- NOT!

I figured that "S" was for the synchorev. Once I get the hang of it, it will be great. I was used to putting in the clutch on the way to a stop sign from third or fourth and *maybe* going through second on the way to a stop. I take it that's a no-no now.

Practice, practice, practice.

If you are not going to run through the gears downshifting, like I do, then put it into Neutral and clutch out to avoid SRM engine revving.

Off topic: I bought and applied Klasse acrylic 3 in 1 to my car and it looks good and cleans easily, especially bugs, even tree sap. My buddy and I then applied it to his laser red Mustang. I am jealous. It looks so good on red, I hope you try it, or something similar.
