370z vs BMW 300 series

If you had to choose which one would it be and why?

ShadyDR,
I have had two 3 series bimmers and they are GREAT cars. If you need back seats then it wins no contest. Especially the sedan which easily seats 4 and can seat 5. They handle very nice and with the turbo (335) you get great acceleration with a ton of torque.

I picked up a Z because I was looking for something with the handling feel of my Mini S I had several years ago but with more power. The Z fit that well. A Z feels more precise in its turning and just wants to be pushed harder.

The 3 series does drive smoother and more comfortable though. So think of the style of driving you like the most and give both a test drive. You will know which one fits you best if you drive both. You can not go wrong with either.

Thanks man, sure will do. Not to be shallow or superficial. But the Z is so much sexier in my eyes. But I know that the 300 series has awesome reviews .

To me the 2 cars are totally different but anywho..

Don't have any 370 impressions yet, other than a quick test drive. But have experience with my 350zr and both the 335 and 328.

Both 3'ers were my wife's DD, like par4 mentioned the 335 has gobs of power and torque, great steering feel, the interior is a bit bland, but comfortable, they have fairly good sized boot as well.

My only nitpicks were...No dipstick and with the sport package and those crappy RFT's, a little rough ride, with some road noise (pilot sports fixed the latter). But we chucked it due to the HP fuel pump problem (quite a few times in fact).

She now drives a 328 which, other than the obvious power reduction. Handles, rides and drives pretty much the same.

Word of advice for anyone thinking about a Non-M bimmer? Ditch the run-flats asap.

The Z leans much more toward the fun factor than the 3. Just my opinion of course. ;)
