Wet windows after down/up?
Anyone else have their windows come but up wet after being down? I get this even 24 hours after there has been rain or I've washed the Z, even when the windows were dry before I put them down. I worry that there is moisture in the door panel, or the the weather stripping is failing.
Thanks!:tiphat: |
this is normal for just about every car

Yea, my Z does it, and it drives me crazy but haven't found a solution yet

It can take a while for the inside doors to dry out.
If you had Miata doors this would not be a problem. They have built in heaters. |

It's completely normal for most cars. It's that strip of fiber? that's at the top of the door. It guides the window down, and that's when the window gets wet, not when it comes up.

I keep a microfiber towel to wipe them after I roll them back up, this only lasts a couple of days after a wash no biggie.

I don't have this issue anymore since I retrofitted the Miata doors on my Z. Best mod I ever made, hands down

Same thing happened to me a week ago and I had a bunch of streaks on driver side. Weird thing though yesterday after my weekly wash. I didn't roll down my window once and later on I noticed same streaks as if window was rolled down.

use a leafblower to dry out the seal after washing the car.
