Most places that install don't offer it on a manual because it's a liability. You can never leave the car in gear though unless you want to ram whatever is in front of you when you push the button. On an AT the auto start will only work when in park and e-brake engaged. With a little modding you can wire it so that it bypasses that option.

I had it in my Integra about 5yrs ago. My dad went to go move my car once since it was blocking someone and decided to show off my new install. Naturally he left it in gear after moving it. Goes to show his friend how it worked and nearly ran himself over. Thankfully there was nothing in front of my car to hit cause I would have been pretty upset.
