the guys at that store told me that they have fitment issues and are waiting for a new one that fits correctly to come in

Sorry man I was just at that Z store website and was laughing at the scissor doors, hope you didn't think I was getting "sarky" with you.

There was a huge thread about a custom badge for the Z but it was real expensive and yes, the thread turned ugly too. Welcome to the internet.

try searching as this has been discussed numerous times. Read the newbe section when coming on and it will tell you to try searching first and how to do it.
