i kinda like the idea its made in japan. don't get me wrong im all for made in the usa..... they can make it nebraska for all i care as long as the quailty is there..............

Nissan has three production plants in the United States - in Smyrna and Decherd, Tennessee, and Canton, Mississippi.

Production at Nissan's Smyrna Plant began in June 1983. The vehicle assembly plant has an annual production capacity of 550,000 vehicles and represents a capital investment of $2.5 billion. The plant produces the Nissan Altima, Nissan Maxima, Nissan Xterra, Nissan Frontier and Nissan Pathfinder.

The vehicle assembly plant in Canton, Mississippi, began producing vehicles in May 2003. The $1.4 billion plant now produces the Nissan Altima, Nissan Quest, Nissan Armada, Nissan Titan and Infiniti QX56. The plant has an annual production capacity of 400,000 vehicles.

Nissan's powertrain assembly plant in Decherd, Tennessee, began production in May 1997. Correction. It said final assembly point Jacksonville. I wonder what the final assembly all consist of. Probably not much of anything.

I think the vin number tells the tale. Vin's that start with a J = Japan, 1 = U.S., 2 = Canada. Don't know about Mexico.

Ones from mexico usually are scratched off with a file.

Which is why I have decided that I will buy American. The quality is the same (G20 is equal to the mustang/F-body of the same year as far as I can tell, in quality),more of the money goes to my country, and they are cheaper to fix when/if they break.

You got A lemon, I beat the **** out of my 06 EX and it's running like a champ at 55k miles, no problems
