Sold My Nismo This Morning....
 

I sold her... You must be wondering y... Cuz I saw a Nissan Cube and fell in love!!!!!!!!!

kidding....

I wanted to go with just the sports package and then use the extra money to eventually buy the amuse body kit, and a cold air intake. (I wanted to upgrade my Nismo but we had sum harsh winds at 70-80mph that blew my tree down onto my house... needless to say its costing me money for the repairs...). I was able to sell it for what I wanted and not have to lower my price at all. I literally put it in the paper and the next day got a buyer from Austin. So I am going to the dealership sumtime this week to pick myself up another Z! I'll ahve enough cash to put sum upgrades in her & I will have lowered my payments!

until then I will be driving my supercharged VibeGT.

So, I guess I gotta take myself off the Nismo Registry *tear*

To be honest I think this plan is better, I just couldn't come around to being a fan of the Nismo. Unless you want it for the collector appeal I'd much rather get the sports package base coupe. However, I might have kept the wheels.

I think that what I loved most about it. Getting issued your own personal number, kinda being part of an "elite" bunch

what color Z you going with now?

Honestly I was thinking platinum graphite. I haven't seen a single one it that color yet. And I always have liked it a lot

Platinum Graphite comes off brown at times. It did on top gear especially, I'd get white.

I'm just excited to be able to start working on it a little. I never had any extra cash to put into my Nismo and I finally cracked lol

Or, if you want to be uber unique let me know and I'll turn you carbon fiber haha. Even though it's probably not the most popular choice :-P

I thot about the white too... not 2 sure yet... I know I don't want black tho... it was so hard to keep up with cleaning

I think that was not PG that was a color only Europe got, which after I saw it under different light I was glad we did not get it.

I think the platinum graphite will show less swirls and nicks. I could be wrong but it looks good in person.

sorry to hear about your house. honestly, i think you'll be happier with the base with sport package.

PG does well on hiding things, but after seeing all the colors in person PG can start to just "blend in" with all the other cars (color wise), style wise any color is great in the Z.

white is a huge PITA to keep clean, just as hard as black I would say...

it still looks alright dirty, but than you clean it , and realize just how dirty it really was.. And than 12 hours later you need to whipe it down.

I love the PW, but you also have to watch the bumpers and side skirts with really bad mis matched colors..

i agree the back bumper gets too damn dusty.

Is the '11 coming out with a new silver color? You might want to wait for that, or you can buy my car so I can get the new color :)

PG is definitely the right color, and base coupe with sports pkg is definitely the right car. Dreamer is right about PG color in Houston...plenty of them...including mine!

By the way...hate to hear about your home damage. I hope it does not hit you too hard. I know about storm damage (Hurricanes) living in Houston. The last hurricane cost me for fencing, roof, soffits, facia, gutters and downspouts, three trees, and water damage in two rooms. Even after insurance I dropped almost $10K.

I just want to clarify that the 370Z used in TopGear is NOT Platinum Graphite. It's called Titanium Gray and available in Japan, Europe and Australia.

The Nismo and 40th Ann Zs are great cars, however they are special cars from the factory. Meaning that if you mod them they lost that "value" being (monetary or sentimental) to a real Z enthusiastic. :twocents:

That is why I'm glad I didn't make a deal for a Nismo like I first wanted.
