The only problem with that is it will be driven for 350 miles, probably almost all on the interstate at one speed and one RPM....... not too good for a new engine.

I would "like" to think that people driving new cars to destinations are somewhat familiar with nissan's break in policies. But maybe I give them too much credit.

Def get it delivered on a flatbed. $350 is nothing considering you're spending $35,000. It's the money you pay for peace of mind. If you let the guy drive it, (also note that "this guy" could be the 17 year kid that loves to do burnout) there will always be that small unsatisfactory feeling about your car. Even if everything is just the way it suppose to be, there will always be a feeling that car has been abused. Also, nothing feels better than driving off a 4 mile (on odometer) Z. I told my dealer either a. car needs to get here on a flatbed (I'm paying for all expense) or b. Nissan car movers (big trucks that bring Zs from port). He was able to do option 2 so I didn't pay a single dime BTW, this is MY opinion.

Actually, I'd just go there and get it. A nice drive back is a perfect way to get acquainted with your new girl.

LOL, I totally agree with you, but the answer is no they don't. My '06 was driven from another dealership 450 miles, and all of it at one speed on I-95

i was told, (i've bought a car from the salesman before), that the guys they use to get the cars from other dealers are retiree's, that the only thing they do for nissan is go get other cars. so it's a little piece of mind. going to get the car myself is practically out of the question with the hours i work, on sat and sun. i wish i could get a nissan car mover, but he didn't make it sound like that was an option.

When I picked my 350z, I got it with 16 miles. It was fairly ok with me.

When I pick up mine i hope it will have negative miles. But I think that is some what impossible so I think with in 4 miles would be good.

I think mine had 12 miles on it -- 4 of those miles were added by me test driving it. No problem.

My car had about 100-110 miles on it when I bought it --- it was explained to me that for some reason, a group of Zs were driven up from Long Beach to Glendale, and then from Glendale to the dealership, and that was roughly 70 of those miles.

I'm sure the car was probably test driven a few times, and driven hard. But I also figure that even 15-20 test drives isn't really that bad in the long run. It also worked as some leverage to get an extra amount off the car - which helped me get the deal that I did.

All said and done it was about 1200 under invoice, though the USAA car-buying service got me a bunch of that, and the mileage on the car got me a bit more.
