When we bought our 08 Infiniti M35, it had 45 miles.

Picked up my 370 with 8 miles on her.

Mine had 28, but had just arrived at the dealership. More importantly to me is that it had just arrived. My '06 had sat at the dealership for almost 2 months by my calculations, and outside at that. It had a nasty case of acid rain "etching" on the hood that I was never able to fully buffed out. The 370Z finish was perfect.

I was lucky... I didn't order mine. I walked into a dealership and saw the only yellow 370. It still had the plastic on it. I purchased it that same day with only 7 miles on it. 4 of which were from test driving it.

^ I didn't order mine either, I just happened to go to the dealership while they were prepping my beauty in the back. It didnt even hit the showroom floor yet.

I agree with you on that one. U know that people that test drives these or even the guys or gals that work there take those cars to close to redline. When i test drove one the guy was practically flooring it. I some what did the same thing.

I do not get it. I think even 4 miles is a lot for a new car. Where do these miles come from if not test drives or joyrides? factory to truck, truck to ship, ship to truck, truck to dealer lot. I dont see how that equals 4 miles or more. I wont be taking delivery of my Z if it has more than 4 miles on it. unreasonable? I dont care. My roommate took his G off the lot with 4 miles.

I will probably redline it as soon as im out of the dealer... and then keep the RPMS all over the place for about 1000 miles w/ a single redline run twice a week....(about every 100 miles)...

Justin1686 04-21-2009 08:16 PM

so i went to the dealer today. and the closest dealer with the car i want is approx 350 miles. they will do a dealer swap for me. but the car will be driven back, instead of trucked back. so my car would come with minimal, 350 miles, and i'd assume it'll have close to 400 with the miles already on it. if i were to get it trucked down, it'd cost me approx $350. what's everyones opinion on this?

frost 04-21-2009 08:19 PM

^ i wouldnt pay the $350. I'd let them drive it.
