Some G came with a note in the glove box stating that is was driven by _________ on the test track in japan befor shipping.

^ yea i had that note in my g35 and it had 45 miles on it.

but this time i around i want to witness the unloading of my car.
to make sure no one will joy ride it.

That's one reason why I'm ordering mine. I don't trust buying a car off the lot that has more than 15-20 miles. You never know who has taken the car out for a spin, and with this type of car, you can be pretty sure they've taken it up towards redline.

45, but the salesman had to pick it up at their other location, 33 miles away according to Google Maps. The other 12? I dunno, test drives, salesmen, etc?

^ right, they have to do some testing. But if your desire for wanting 0 miles is because they are beaten on test drives, don't concern yourself with 4 miles.

No clue what you're saying but here's break in instruction for new tires (courtesy of "dad" via tirerack)
