55 when picked up. It was transferred from another dealer as it was the last one in CA with the package color combo I wanted. Loving the car

25 when I was done test driving it. Plastic coverings all over the place.

26 - that was after a 14 mile drive from another dealership. The salesman I ended up buying it from was the one who drove it. AFAIK, he was gentle. :icon14:

I seem to see a lot of concern on how the car was driven before you got it and all. While it's nice to have been the one whose racked up just about every mile in our cars, I think as long as you get it in time to do the break-in all is well. I for one am a believer in the hard break-in. I would go to guess there are few here who are going to constantly baby the skinny pedal.

I baby the car to put it thru thermal expansion and such. To me, it's the same thing as jumping in your car on a cold start and burning the tires without letting it warm up. I think a new car needs to settle and adjust.

Here's an example: My girlfriend decides to make fish for dinner one night and I walk thru the door and hear an explosion. Can any of you guess why this happened? Haha

I do fully understand the concerns about not letting it warm up. getting on a cold engine http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/smilies/nono.gif is a bad thing for sure, but once it's warmed up, I still believe in the hard break-in. it has worked well in a number of vehicles for me.

Oh yeah, I like crunchy fish, but not that crunchy:D

YMMV

Got mine a few days ago. 8 miles.

Mine had 7 miles, which I thought was a lot, but now I feel better after seeing everybody else's.
