thats very good advice the diminshed value will come in handy.
it helped on mine. wonder how long it takes for a car fax to show up.
my body shop told me they didn't report them.that it was left up to the
insurance company.

I don't where car fax gets their info either, but I would think insurance companies would be the best source or if accedent reports go into some kind of centeral data base that wold be a good source too.

You should file it with the insurance company that you filed the accendent claim with. If you filed your accedent claim with your insurance and they won't process it then file it with the other company. You have more leverage with them by not settling for just repairs.
