A short pole got ahold of my rear bumper.

(Excuse the messy garage)

clean the area really good and try to buff it out, someone backed into me awhile back, left some paint on my bumper, It all buffed out and you cant even see the fine scratches when I wax over it.

I haven't touched it yet. Im worried about the part with the paint that is peeled upwards, you can see in the second picture.

Definately repaint. Damage is beyond the top coat judging by the 2nd picture. You probably don't need to paint the whole bumper, just that side. Sand, mud & repaint.

You dont need a new bumper but I suggest you find someone with an aftermarket one so you can buy it off them. A shop will charge for labor and the actual work. In the end buying one will save time and money. btw make sure it comes painted lol..

Suks to see this. I agree on some of the suggestions that it needs to be repainted, and if you can find one in the same color will save time and money.

If you are going to repaint part of your bumper - you better repaint the whole thing... seriously - you will have two very distinct colors if you dont do the whole thing...

Looks like a total to me.
Dibs on any parts that are salvageable.

j/k.
Doesn't look too bad. Although I say that with pain inside. Hate to see these beautiful cars dinged. But stuff happens.

I suggest light rubbing compound and touch up paint. What I mean by touch up paint is, the guys the car dealers call when they accidentally hit something with a customers car. Some of these guys are really good and can blend paint well.

OR

Just repaint the bumper.
