Hey guys quick question. I am switching over to Mobil 1 synth. oil and probably just going to use the Mobil1 filter, do I still need the crush gasket that

I am switching over to Mobil 1 synth. oil and probably just going to use the Mobil1 filter, do I still need the crush gasket that is needed with the Nissan oil filter?
