With the 7AT in normal D mode you don't have to switch to M mode too use the shifters just hit the down shift side and your good to go.

Thanks, I'll try that. Seems more reliable and fail safe. I am curious to see if the first down shift will place me in 6th, or 5th gear though. Just don't want to bang it into 2nd by mistake because I think I am in a higher gear than I am. |

Lets let Jockamo do his thing, Atlanla is competitive town as far as commuting. Will see how durable the Zs drivetrain is after he's finished, who knows he might get good warrenty work done, especially if he payed too much for the car

Dude, you need an attitude adjustment or your going to kill someone. Save the hot rodding for the track and like the previous quote said, drive in 6th or you put unnecessary ABUSE on the engine. Are you for real? I'm not trying to be rude, it just sounds like you don't have both oars in the water.

OP said: i like the immediate response when i punch the pedal without having to shift from 6th to 3rd or 4th....
The part that makes the least sense to me is , if you are all ready red lined, how do you punch it? You've left yourself nowhere to go. Secondly, how many people have wanted to race with you while you are winding out a Z in third or fourth gear. |
