I'm guessing this is the Op's first car?

Spin the wheel while going as fast as you can in reverse. It makes you go even faster...

fast enough to run through the garage door:ughdance:

Personal experience? Full wood one, or one of those flimsy sheet-metal ones?

no not really. first thing i do is open the garage door. kinda worried one day i will be in a hurry and forget.

with the blind spots on these cars you can get much over 2 to 3 mph when backing up anywhere!!!

I worry about hitting mine with my roof. Sometimes as it's opening I get a little too impatient and drive it. I'm sure situations have happened where I've only missed it by inches.

Been there done that one to. Thinking about hanging a tennis ball from a cord
so i will know how far to pull in before hitting some shelfs

It's hard to tell if my garage door is fully or opened or not when I leave in the morning. I'm typically blinded by the smoke screen and laser light show, and I can't listen for the garage door because Flight of the Valkyries is blasting on the garage stereo.

As many of Z owners would agree, reverse is the most dangerous gear due to the lack of visibility. I just wanted to know how many mph the reverse gear tops out at and how fast someone had gone in reverse. I just don't want to go and try it myself.

sonic370 07-19-2010 07:28 AM

so let me get this right. you want one of us to see how fast the car will go in reverse? i'll get right back with you on that.:bowrofl:

DIGItonium 07-19-2010 08:11 AM

-5 mph is probably a bit too fast... what's the speed limit going in reverse anyhow?
