It's hard to tell if my garage door is fully or opened or not when I leave in the morning. I'm typically blinded by the smoke screen and laser light show, and I can't listen for the garage door because Flight of the Valkyries is blasting on the garage stereo.

As many of Z owners would agree, reverse is the most dangerous gear due to the lack of visibility. I just wanted to know how many mph the reverse gear tops out at and how fast someone had gone in reverse. I just don't want to go and try it myself.
so let me get this right. you want one of us to see how fast the car will go in reverse? i'll get right back with you on that.:bowrofl:
-5 mph is probably a bit too fast... what's the speed limit going in reverse anyhow?
With VDC on or off? ;)
about a month before selling my car i drive it in reverse to lower milage.

Some reading says that most manufacturers govern reverse to keep people from going too fast.

I've got this buddy that has an SRT 4, and he says that his buddy has a Mustang and that they know that they can beat a 370Z in reverse. Now would that be from a standing start or from a roll? You guys think they can beat me? They wanted me to run them in the high school parking lot (of course this would after study hall!) RP

I also found that if I turn my directional tires around backwards, my car handles much better in reverse. I tried it without the VDC on, but lost control and sideswiped my phys-ed teachers car! RP
