Hwy 1
How many of you guys have driven the Pacific Coast Highway in your 370z? I'm on vacation and drove about 40 mi from Monterey down through Big Sur and back today. The scenery is spectacular but the poor rental car... a Hyundai Sonata just isn't cutting it no matter how hard I pretend I'm behind the wheel of the Z. I'm so jealous of you NorCal guys who live in the area.

I did it in June. We had been up in the Clear Lake area north of San Francisco, which had some major twisties. We put 2500 miles on the Z in a week.

lol... I have the same shot of the Bixby bridge. There were more twisties with sudden elevation changes the farther south I went near McWay falls. Hugging the rail on descending curves with ocean on one side and mountain cliff face on the other side was great. The 370 would be awesome on this stretch of road. And you don't even have to drive fast for the thrill.

I love that stretch of Hwy 1. I live on Hwy 1 just north of SF, so I drive the road every day, hence a "Z".
Currently California roads are developing more potholes with fewer repairs. The repair money seemingly will come from the Highway Patrol issuing tickets. So keep your eyes peeled and be careful. |

Anyone raise their Z and put 15" rims with huge mud tires on it? That may have to be my next winter setup.
