Default Oil Evacuator to the rescue

My neighbor was ticked off because the dealer over filled his car with oil. He was going to take it back and have them remove the excess. He has not been happy with them, and this was the last straw. He did not really want to go back there, but felt he had to.

Thanks to SoCal's mention of an oil extractor a number of months ago, I did buy one, but did the AK oil change technique on my Z instead.

I thought this would be a good time to take the extractor out of the box and help the guy out.

I measured where the oil was supposed to be on the dip stick, then stuck the hose down the dip stick tube to that length. Pumped up the vacuum and in about one minute, the job was done and the oil was right where it should be.

Bye the way, it was almost a full quart over filled!

Another thing about the extractor, for those who'd rather drain the gas from lawn tractors and snow blowers instead of adding Stable to the gas, this thing is great!

And for oil changes on them, this thing can't be beat. Does a nice clean job. I have a Honda 32" with the tank tracks, and dumping the oil from the drain plug can leave a mess if I'm not real careful, sometimes even if I am.

I think the extractor is a pretty handy thing to have around.
