I am 53 and just went to Nissan to have my steering Lock changed..

There was a sweet old couple waiting for their car...Probably a Mini van or Altima ???

Well we walk out together to our SWEET rides...My Black 2009 370Z and their 2013 Vert 370Z !!!!!

The guy bought it for his 70th Birthday !!!!

59 - the wife thinks the Z Roadster is "silly, impractical and ostentatious." Still can't figure out what her point is.

Haha....She may be right, but who cares......:tiphat:

My Wife says the same thing about the Pro Touring Hot Rod I have had for 30 years...

I said I would die before selling it and I mean it...

If I was to act my age I would have a Camry and that will NEVER happen...

20.

I was 17 when people around me tried hard to convince me into "reality" - their vision that I will not see a nice sports car in my driveway till im an old fart, at which point ill have family, obligations, and a full time career to hinder any fun, stupidity, and adrenaline that runs through young veins, and any joy from owning such a "toy". Meaning unless I was born into money i should just drown my dreams.

Pffffffffft.

Full time college, electrical engineering major, part time job, unpaid internship, part time job, and a girlfriend of almost 3 years. I'm managing alright :)

Oh and the Z came after an s2000. Both were my dream cars. :)

Old fart, really?

Anyway, 44 here, but got married with 22, having 3 kids out of our house and working/college, now it's my time :happydance:
With 20 I actually had a Porsche 928S4 and people told me the same, on the long run they were right though. Had to sell the car because replacing freaking brakes all the way around was 3000.-, and not even my part time job in college could pay for that. Back than, at least in Germany, no way to buy a car on lease or monthly payment without a full time job, cash was king. You young guys have it easy nowadays, almost everyone can afford the newest and the greatest.

Age of 370Z owners?

.....too damn old!

b15 04-16-2013 05:32 PM

Here's my take on being young with nice toys. I wasn't told I couldn't have it until I was older but rather to make my decisions wisely. Personally I could afford a 370z at 22 but having just graduated and moving back home, I opted to save for a year and buy a house instead. To me that trumps the car any day. Having the toys would've been nice but it didn't feel right parking it in my parents garage or in an apartment lot. Thus I waited until I was 27 for my toy. Would've had it sooner but weddings are expensive!

Its all about priorities really. For me having my own house was more important so that's what I worked towards. Now that I have both, I wish I had a three car garage so my dd can be inside too lol. But yeah I just laugh when someone tells me I cant achieve something. Just motivates me that much more.

I was 20 when I bought my Z. Been working full time since I graduated college at 19

32... I did the sensible, responsible and reliable approach while in school and then during my time in the military. Had many other toys. Just kept the sports car thing on the bottom rung until I finally settled on something. I got out last October so I bought myself a Tag. Kept looking for a car and then finally, right after my birthday this year I gave the Z another shot and drove it home. Done with sensible and reliable. There's more important things in life like going fast when I wanna.

20. Traded my 2011 Mustang for my Z. Best decision I ever made!

Actually i got it when i was 16. In Jersey, you don't get your license until you're 17. Now 17. Had it for almost 3 years.
