Potential Buyer Totally Turned Off
Today I sat in a Z for the first time, a '10 Black Cherry Touring Sport with nav and manual transmission. The car was beautiful but I was totally turned off by the sound of the driver door closing. The door sounded thin and flimsy, and lacked the thunk sound of well- built cars. I walked away, the Z not for me.

kinda shallow to base a cars quality on the "sound" of its door closing. i can understand the feeling though, but i could never be dissuaded by this when you consider that the Z has more quality per square inch than most every other car in its price range, without exaggeration.

You drive a Miata and you think a Z feels thin and flimsy???
I also drive a Miata and think you're a little off base in your assessment.

Aren't the doors Aluminum not steel like other cars? Doesn't mean cheap just lighter and better

My '09 GT PRHT is built like a tank man, solid, tight and well- screwed. The door to the Z didn't come close to inspiring that kind of confidence in it's build quality.
