Winding Road Magazine Review of 370Z

I hope this hasn't been posted, but I didn't see it when I searched.

In the lower left hand corner there's an icon that opens a table of contents, then find the Z and click on it. It will take you right to the article.

Winding Road Magazine | Issue 42

nice find! Good article!

So basically to sum it up:

By the 6SPD
the transmission and handling is impressive
road noise is pronounced
and the interior needs more improvements.

This article was good because, while critical, they gave good reasoning for complaints and reminded us that for all the complaints, it is a sports car.

I also love some of the quotes, “This Nissan coupe, an unmitigated and rich aural experience.…auditory splendor”

Yeah, good article. Never heard of that magazine but I actually enjoyed it and read more than just the article about the Z.

This review says the Mustang has a better interior? What are they smoking? Every 2005+ Mustang I've seen has the lowest-grade, klunky plastic dash imaginable.

Interesting tidbit about the Nissan engineers considering the 54/46 weight distribution to be perfect because it becomes a perfect 50/50 under the load of a hard corner. I've never thought of it that way. Not sure if I really buy the argument, but it's definitely food for thought.

They said this about the 350z in '03 too.

Going back to the excellent review by Winding Road, as far as sound is concerned, the guy I throttled it past this afternoon would testify that sound is indeed an important element in a sports car - he nearly jumped out of his seat, poor thaing :)

They became nextautos.com I have loved their online magazine prior to them doing the website. If you use my.yahoo you can have them as a news source and get headlines delivered. Pretty cool way to stay on top of auto news.

I was surprised at first, but then I realized they were talking about the 2010 Mustang, which is supposed to be way better than the 05-09s in all aspects.

Anyways, good article.
