That's why I plan to get a 5 year loan - so I won't have to pay it off

I really don't care either way, the Z is one of my first auto cars, bought specifically for the 45-70 minutes I spend in traffic. I don't mind a little ball-bustin between buddies, and while some of you can take a good jab in fun, it's obvious some people here really do think the other transmission is beneath them. I don't like that kind of elitism when no matter which trans you get, you still have one hell of a ride.

Anyway, it was .1 to .2 seconds, and yes, that does mean something to me. Silly maybe, but it does. Again though, that's with a professional driver. I would be willing to bet that 5 times out of 6 the same 370 owner would be more than .3 seconds or more quicker in the quarter with an auto than a manual. I really like manuals now. I REALLY do. I spent a lot of time finding my former Maxima with one and LOVED it. Alas though, I think their time has come and gone. The autos are just that good. You are quicker, more consistent, able to focus on driving, and have a more dependable car for the most part. |

Hah these threads are so predictable. Every car forum since the dawn of.. car forums has a MT vs. AT thread. Not one has ever reached a definitive agreement beyond: the other guy is wrong.
On a side note, the arguments are slightly more interesting now that manufacturers are stuffing automatic gearboxes with extra gears. The taller, extra gears do give strong 0-60 and quarter mile times. |
