speeding, following too close, you might be screwed any way you go. If you get a lwayer better make sure its one that does this all the time and ask him his succes rate in getting things knocked off, otherwise your just putting money in his and the courts pocket.

golfgirlrobin : In my first post itself, I said I am guilty of speeding and willing to pay the fine. My post was about my rear side window tint ticket - that are legals, on a window that is smaller than your hand.

get a lawyer very experienced in traffic violations. You can win most cases outright, probably 95% of them. My lawyer has won over a dozen cases for me - dismissed, only charges me $250 per ticket.

Sounds like you are a road hazard with a dozen cases to your belt. Just cuz you get them dismissed doesnt mean you should keep trying for more. I could see one or two here and there but a dozen is probably more than I have been stopped in my whole driving career.

I know this is NJs law but I thought NY was the same. You can tint any window, to any percentage as long as its not the windshield, or front driver/passenger windows.

There IS a factory tint..but it's hard to see under some lights. If you're in direct sun, and you stand at a slight angle looking at the windows (from the outside)...you'll be able to see circle-type shading. I don't know how else to describe it, but it's there. When I went to talk to my tint lady, she said the lightest tint will be darker becuz of the factory tint ( makes sense becuz my old 350z had the some light factory tint...and it was obvious when I applied actual vinyl tint)
