You guys going nuts over young kids driving nice cars...stay away from Los Angeles, you might shoot yourself.

Why would anyone care anyway? Rich parents buy their kids nice things. Good kids from good parents and a good upbringing know to appreciate them and grow up to be decent human beings. Bad kids from bad parents grow up to be spoiled ***holes. If you look closely at life, most of it is like this and the ones talking **** are usually just jealous.

back to my original post.
thanks for all the inputs, but my parents didnt buy the zed for me, i didnt get finance.
its just all my savings since birth.
just to tell you guys my background.
ive graduated, single, fulltime worker, pays rent, bills etc on my own. my rental apartment has a river view. im not a show off , i just like to have the good things in life. whats the point or working and saving if you dont enjoy spending money.
and thats where the problem comes in, i dont really save much now as i bought the car in cash. so most of my friends are all living with their parents still and still catch the public transport to work/uni etc. and everytime i catch up with them they seem to be really distant. (probably of all the things i bought and my lifestyle). basically things i own, have somehow changed to way they see me. at 21 i think anything expensive seems like im spoilt or cocky. but im not either. i just work a lot and spend a lot.

Just when I was starting to lose faith in humanity you came by and posted in here. Thank god for that.

I love when people come over and ask me about my Z. I even had a really young kid in his teens with a late model 350 ask me if he could stick his head in the window and look at the difference between the two. I also find myself in the "did your mom buy that for you" category. I think people just get mad when they see a really young person (I'm 23) in a car like this. I dont make a million dollars a year but I worked hard for my Z.

I'm 40, so at the time, that wasn't all that bad of a free car. As soon as I had income, I replaced it with a Toyota FX-16 GT-S which caused me a lot of financial strain as I went away to college. About two years later, I fell behind and got it repo'ed. That was the beginning of being poor, in debt and with bad credit through my 20's.
I could tell the OP or other young Z owners that they're heading down this path, but I don't.

One thing I've noticed here on this forum, having migrated from a Mazdaspeed3 community, is that the broadcast age range of the forum members here is much older. By broadcast age, I mean the preachy, crotchety old fuddy-duddy-ism that seems to come out of responders of any age on threads like this or others where the OP is foolish enough to show a little youthful naivete.
Instead of criticizing the young, why don't we guide them and help them. I'm not talking about a good old fashioned "when I was your age" lecture either... because we all know how well that worked on us, right?

sorry but you exceed the intelligence level for us. please leave.

well said.

HEY~!

I'm also 21! k

I also faced the same situation where some of my old friends got jealous and speak some shitty things behind me.

well? this is MY car and it's ME who pay for all the ****(NOT like my parents pay, I drive)

they are jealous? haha all I have to say is don't care about them if they are so jealous and act like dumbastards, cuz IF they are your friends, they should be happy just the fact their friend got nice ride~

Thats when you know you should stop hanging out with kids and start associating with adults.
