High pitch whine
I need a help for this issue guys.
I have replaced ECU due to the high pitch whine, but the noise is still there. The new ECU part number that I got replaced is : 23710-1EA4A I of course read most of all thread related to this issue in this forum, and most of people said that the part number ending with "A" is the one does NOT have the noise, but I also found one thread and said that ending with "B" has no noise. - still confused which one is correct I also realized that the noise will be gone if the weather is hot. I bought my Z on 10/2009, so I could not find this, but here is an example. 1) can hear noise if it is cold start in a morning 2) cannot hear noise if the car was under the sun for long and in hot weather I tried removing the passenger side trim and confirming that if the noise is from ECU, but seems NOT! but the noise is definitely somewhere in my car. I also took out the ECU to find out the part number, because I suspected that my dealer didn't really replace the ECU or replaced with wrong one, but the number was not on ECU sticker I took some photo of ECU just in case and took it back everything, plug battery back, and everything was fine except power window, so I just reset it, and here is interesting stuff I found. I am pretty sure that tech guy would unplug battery before replacing ECU, then everything should be reset, ( window, trip A/B odometer, clock, maintenance setting, etc) but when I got my vehicle back from the dealer, NOTHING was reset. I am still curious if my dealer really replace ECU or not Sorry about my english ( im from korea ^^) and I really hope I can find some good information about this. |

Go back to the dealer and confirm they replaced it. Sounds like they didn't...

the dealer also mentioned that I need to reprogram my second "I"Key ( Intelligent Key ), cuz the ECU is replaced, but my second key works properly.
I called dealer again and ask if they really put the new ECU in, and they say (of course) YES. The noise is definitely electrical sound, but it seems coming from the rear, not a passenger seat. Please help me guys |
